Animations

I spent a few hours last night working on a piece, as soon as I’d drawn the cat I could imagine it moving around whilst the majority of the image remained still, similar to animations for lofi playlists I often watch on YouTube whilst drawing. As soon as I’d done a few frames for the tail I realised the cat itself would need to be doing something, I edited the head to make him look like he was cleaning himself. I decided to add a few frames to the guys face, to make him look more sorrowful and to show tears falling down his face.

Once each frame was drawn I then exported into the iMotion app, I’m still using procreate 4 so don’t have the latest animation features you find on version. I used iMovie to loop the video and add audio “The Falls” by Keith Keniff was featured on the app, such a beautiful and sad piano piece, it fitted perfect with the video.

i don’t get to animate as much as I’d like to, due to the sheer amount of time involved, but every now and then I draw a picture that I feel needs just a little something extra 😊
