“Snowflake”

I decided to draw this after an interaction in a mental health group. A post was removed and someone posted another posted asking why? “Probably some snowflake complained” someone responded.

I wouldn’t normally but I decided to say my opinion on the word, a derogatory word that along with used to describe people easily offended has been used to put down people that are suffering with their mental health. I found two links to articles that mentioned the same thing and talked about the impact the phrase has on young peoples mental health.

I didn’t attack this person but put the information in place for them to read and make their own conclusions and stated that some words and phrases can mean different things to different people and different generations. They did respond with “it’s just a term used for someone who is easily offended” my question to that would be “why do you think a particular person might find a particular thing offensive?” Sadly another member decided to laugh at everything I had put forward before all the comments were deleted and turned off. I really wanted to post that if we who are struggling are not prepared to change our own viewpoints on a world that’s quickly changing and developing then how can we expect others to?

I hope this makes sense 🤔
